Sunday Lately | 6

I’m going to pretend today is still Sunday and that anyone reading this will also accept that it’s still Sunday too… Yesterday was far too busy for being the last day of the weekend, and I am intent on getting back to Sunday Lately posts!

Your first thought might be, “what is Sunday Lately again?” Well, it’s a couple of things, firstly it’s a group of bloggers lead by Nicole, Meghan, Angelica, And KatyΒ who come have come together as the Blogger Tribe, secondly each week they (and we) all e-hang out and write about several topics prompted by the group leaders. It’s a great little tribe!

This weeks prompts are: Creating, Finding, Switching, Forgetting, and Craving.Β

It was a wonderful mid summer week full of a healthy mixture of indulgences, dates, fitness, and more!

I’ve been feeling creative for some time now (drawing, coloring, thinking of starting to paint etc) and recently saw this adorable lettering hanging on a the walls of a local yoga studio (Flex & Flow) the lettering reads, “SWEAT.” So I decided I wanted something similar in my workout space. All I needed were letters, paint and a brush. I chose pink paint!

The motivation to beat this Summer. So, I’ve mentioned before I’ve always been into fitness and generally have worked out pretty regularly with 80/20 eating about 80% of the time, about 80% of my life… I’ll leave you to do the official math. Anyhow, I consistently struggle to maintain weight loss, and healthy eating come summer time… something about the heat, longer days and BBQ’s. It’s just always a struggle to find time. It’s definitely much better this summer, but I feel myself slipping up way more than my goal crushing self should be allowing. Oops!

I recently started reading, “In A Dark, Dark Wood” by Ruth Ware.

In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
This is me sitting on the bank of Buck Lake last Thursday, with my book of course!

But a friend of mine started a Facebook book club a couple days ago and the chosen book was, “The Fever” by Megan Abbott. I started it last night, at about 8pm and I’m half way through it already. I should be done by tonight, at this rate πŸ˜‚

All the reasons I keep wanting to ditch the blog. I spent a little time today working on a schedule, and now I just need to take the time to work on it. I feel positive and refreshed about this space again, and so appreciative of the great responses which helped guide my thoughts to a more productive line of thinking!

I woke up Sunday morning feeling very under the weather. Who’s idea was it to allow “colds” in the Summer anyway? It sucks. But Kris swooped in and rescued me and we went for some delicious, always soothing to the soul,Β PhΓ³. Β The spicy, tangy, sweet flavor always help with a runny nose and sore throat. Needless to say, it cured my cravings… For the rest of the day, but I’m already wishing I had taken another serving to go for today… I’m still feeling pretty awful!

That sums of this week of Sunday Lately, now I’m going to finish this giant cup of green tea, take some more cold medicine, and finish my book!

Have a great first day of August, I’ll be back with more updates this week. Promise.
