Fitness and being active have always been a huge part of my life, while I was studying for a degree in Nursing I feel in love with how the human body works and the importance of nutrition and health… it was then that I began dreaming of a time when I might be able to pursue fitness professionally. I never acted on that dream, until recently.

Despite my enthusiasm and love for fitness, like so many others I fell victim to my own circumstances and excuses- 3 years ago I found myself more than 35 pounds overweight, this occurred over about 2-4 months time. Over the last few years I had been fairly miserable, finding it difficult to do the things I love (hiking, rock climbing, running, sports, snowboarding etc). So, in Sept 2015 I decided for the final time, to make the positive changes I had been wanting to for so long. My journey has been slow and steady, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and where I am headed!

My hope is to utilize my own experiences, knowledge of health and the human body to continue to guide my own fitness journey and possibly help others along the way!

I am currently working towards and/or have obtained certifications in the following:

  • Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (in process)
  • NASM  FNS (in process)
